I’m thrilled to share with you the beautiful love story that was Svyat and Kristen’s magical Christmas Island wedding. Being residents of the stunning Christmas Island, Svyat and Kirsten decided to marry on their island home.
As their photographer, I had the privilege of witnessing and capturing every moment of their love-filled celebration.
Wait, where?
Think of Christmas Island as the lesser known Cocos Islands, but according to the locals is ‘even better’ due to the larger amount of wildlife to see, and smaller crowds than Cocos.
Their love story
Svyat and Kristen’s love story is one for the books. From the moment they met, sparks flew, and their connection was undeniable. Their journey together has been filled with laughter, adventures (even getting stuck in a cave overnight!), and countless fun times. As I listened to them recount their story, it was evident that their love was truly meant to be.
A Wedding to Remember
The setting for Svyat and Kristen’s wedding was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled amidst the serene beauty of their island home, their ceremony backdrop was the gorgeous Lily Beach. Their celebration was the perfect blend of rustic-chic-decor, meets eco friendly, upcycled styling. From the archway made from driftwood, to the coconut shell candles, to the wood pallet upcycled bench seats, every detail was thoughtfully curated to reflect their unique style and personality.
One of the most memorable aspects of the day was the heartfelt ceremony, where Svyat and Kristen exchanged vows surrounded by their closest friends and family. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house (or as Svyat described it “my eyes are sweating”) as they pledged their love and commitment to each other, and I felt privileged to document such an intimate and emotional moment.
Capturing Moments, Creating Memories
As their photographer, my job was to capture the essence of Svyat and Kristen’s love story through my lens. From the tender glances they shared, to their infectious joy, it was clear I was in the presence of something pretty spesh. Whether it was stealing a quiet moment together amidst the hustle and bustle of the day or dancing under the stars as newlyweds, I was honoured to be part of their journey and to capture it, to live on as their little legacy.
A Lasting Legacy
As the day came to a close and the sun dipped below the horizon, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for being able to capture such a beautiful celebration of love with such a stunning backdrop. Svyat and Kristen’s wedding was more than just a gathering of friends and family – it was truly being in the prescence of a forever love.
