I caught up with Details by Meg, a wedding Content Creator to chat about this new profession and what that means for Videographers.

Firstly, who are you?

I’m Meg! I am a Mum, wife, and an experienced Content Creator. Creating for brands and businesses for just over 4 years, I decided it was time to extend my services to weddings, events, and special occasions.

So what exactly do you do?

Alongside talented photographers and/or videographers, I capture all the candid, intimate, and unexpected behind the scenes moments of your wedding day so yourself and your guests can be fully present. The best part? All content is delivered the next day for you to re-live, with edited video montages sent shortly after! 

You will get several edited videos, all the BTS moments (think 100’s of  video / photo snippets) and consult calls / zoom meetings or even a coffee to meet and chat! I’m a huge coffee drinker, so I’m always keen.

What’s the difference between a Videographer and Content Creator? 

A videographer uses professional grade equipment and is highly skilled at editing a cinematic video montage of your day. The average turnaround time is 6-12 weeks as they spend time editing and piecing together everything through artistic story telling. Nothing compares! 

A wedding content creator is a vendor who provides quality content and delivers it the next day. This service is mostly used to share content on social media instantly. Along with capturing candid behind the scenes moments, I also dabble in fun trends and transitions. I’m also experienced at what type of format will provide the best quality for sharing online – there’s nothing worse than pixelated or blurry videos or photos on your socials.
